How to care for your Fine Silver and Sterling Silver
All silver eventually oxidizes and turns brown or even black over time. Here's a simple secret to taking the tarnish off any sterling silver that calls for just three ingredients. It's organic, works better than a polishing cloth and you're silver jewelry will look like new. You can thank me later!
You need: aluminum foil, baking soda and boiling water
1. Layer a shallow tray with tin foil (this is key!)
2. Place your sterling silver on top of the foil and sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of baking soda over the silver.
3. Boil water and pour water into the tray (enough to cover your silver) and watch the tarnish magically disappear! If there's still a little more tarnish left, just repeat!
